Magnesium is the Master Mineral. So inside the cell we need a charge from magnesium to help order the water molecules as well. So the water becomes structured inside the cell and the water molecules are closer together and more tightly structured So they gives it a slippery, jelly like feeling and that helps the transport system it helps inside the cell for the smaller particles to stay inside and the larger particles like sodium and calcium to stay outside. For that you need charge, charge differential. If you loose the charge the water molecules start to become unstructured and they become more random and floating around and loose. So this is a diagram of the cell membrane held together by a lipid by-layer and the magnesium charge. The lipid by-layer is important. It is like a membrane of the skin its a small version of our outside membrane, which relies on water, essential fatty acids and magnesium ions. So leaky cells because of low magnesium charge lead to dehydration, vascular tension, pain and swelling and inflammation. Because when the cells dont have enough water they get too much pollution on board, they can’t clean themselves. Not enough enzyme activity. Because the magnesium is too low, so enzymes are not detoxing so more and more pollution comes in. Sugar metabolism, more acid, not enough oxygen and what happens is it is a downward spiral. Pathogens come in and because of the acidity the immune system goes, oh we have to get rid of the bad bacteria and viruses inflammation and it gets worse and worse and worse. All from low magnesium and not enough water for inside the cells So magnesium is naturally anti-inflammatory If you go swimming in the ocean, you will be able to absorb plenty of magnesium and electrolytes through the skin from the ocean water. That is why it makes us feel so invigorated and so good. if you have a little cut and you first go in, it is a little bit of a burning sensation. But then that cut heals much faster because the salt stimulates the healing process it delivers the electrical charge that we need for healing The blood flows more fluidly when you have plenty of magnesium It delivers a negative charge so the blood cells can bounce one another and flow. Rather than the opposite which is a positive charge, which is where they attract one another and clump together and get sticky, which is what you see on the far right there. That is called Rouleaux, where they are all stuck together. If it gets worse that will end up with a thrombotic event, or a clot of some kind where everything gets stuck together. That is an inflammation. inflammation inside the blood So we need magnesium for cellular balance, for pH, pH means Potential Hydrogen so basically we are an electrical system, we need the electrons to flow to get the electrons to flow, in the right amount for our biological system we need to be slightly over alkaline. Too much charge is not good and not enough charge is no good. We have to be just right in the narrow window. so the window for the blood system is 7.35 -7.45 pH. pH is directly related to voltage Electrical voltage in the cell. Like a battery. So if your voltage in the battery drops the energy drops. In the cell it is the same. The voltage drops the energy drops. you cant heal very well you need alot of energy for healing and all sorts of metabolic processes It relies on your pH acid alkaline balance. So pH 7 is neutral. 7 is exactly in the middle of the pH scale 14 is very very alkaline extreme and 0 is completely acid. So what we need to be is a little bit over 7pH is the goal. Except in your stomach of course. You need acid to digest food especially proteins. So your body needs to generate Hydrochloric Acid to digest proteins A lot of people cant make enough stomach acid today, have problems digesting proteins. It is not the protein. The protein is necessary, you have to have proteins but you need to be able to digest it. if you only partly digest though proteins and they move through to the next level. they are not the right proteins. They are not the bodies own proteins So ideally you want to break those proteins up, the enzymes then reassemble them into our own body proteins and then they are accepted by the immune system. If outside proteins dont get broken up and reassembled and they get through to other places we can develop allergies, to those foods, to those proteins. because the body treats them like a foreigner and it starts attacking itself. That is an autoimmune response. So digestion is extremely important and has many many side effects. Allergy being one of them. You need Magnesium and Chloride and Vitamin K and zinc and iodine to make enough stomach acid. If you have a problem in that area I suggest you go to the health food shop and get an enzyme called Betaine Hydrochloride and you just eat that when you are eating a protein meal. You have that little bit of an extra enzyme that helps you digest till your own body gets up and running again with digestion If you are not getting enough protein you cant make proteins in the body you cant repair tissue. The enzymes in your body are made of proteins so we do need alot of protein and you have to be able to digest properly. So when you have low voltage and you dont have enough enzymes activity to detox you get sewerage accumulate and the lymph get stuck. You are not moving you get tired, lethargic everything starts to stop. It is like a pool of water and its not moving and it gets more and more pollution and less and less oxygen and bad bacteria and fungus and viruses grow in there so in the blood or in the cells that can happen as well. These are yeast cells. If you can see the little picture on the side In the left side they are little spores. They are like little seeds, they stay dormant So everyone has candida in the body somewhere. We breathe it in, it is in our environment but in a healthy system which is more alkaline those seeds stay like spores, they dont do anything in the body. They have no effect, that we can detect that is bad. They are just there. If the body moves into an acidic state they start to get an environment that they like a lot. So what do they do, they start when they get to a certain pH and morph. They send out tendrils and they move into another form with little tails latched on, and those tails pierce our good cells, and they suck out the goodness and energy out of the cell. They parasite on the cell and they coat it with a protein covering, which means the immune system recognize it is corrupted. Normally the immune system will go, there is something wrong with that cell kill it (Apoptosis), and build a new cell in it’s place. In this case, in the case of cancer, the body doesn’t recognise it is broken. The cell is broken it needs to be replaced and then it replicates a corrupted cell. so what we need to do is make sure the environment is alkaline so that the parasites dont attack so that the cells can stay healthy. Everything absolutely everything comes down to environment. Healing requires alot of energy so if you hit your thumb and it goes red and swollen and it heats up a lot, it becomes very very hot, cause you need a lot of energy minus 50 millivolts to make new cells. The normal running energy of a cell is minus 25 millivolts voltage. but to make new cells we need minus 50. That is why when someone is healing from injury they use hot water bottles, infrared sauna, hot bath. The heat creates that extra ability for the body to heal when the energy system isn’t there, when the metabolism isn’t there you need outside heat to help generate the healing Cholesterol and Magnesium. We already talked about cholesterol, but magnesium is intimately involved in the creation of the good cholesterol and the metabolism of the cholesterol. Especially the use by the liver to clean itself must have enough magnesium and I mentioned before coconut oil, palm oil and butter, butter is so good as a great fat. to make cholesterol, the good cholesterol. To feed the brain. Butter has vitamins A, D, E and K we really need a lot of them and pasteurization doesn’t destroy it in the butter so you still get those good vitamins in the butter raw butter, no additives, beautiful. Put it on your vegetables. Melt it everywhere, it is very very good for you. see mothers milk has over 50% cholesterol. Why would a mother be giving that to the baby if cholesterol was bad for you so babies grow and thrive when they have lots of fat in milk. There is also a study released recently, showing magnesium deficiency alters the gut microbiota. This is because you beneficial gut bacteria need also a good level of magnesium to do their work. Magnesium is like a powerpoint, so you have got your computer, your software and your hardware But unless you plug it into the wall for the electricity, nothing is going to work. So magnesium is a bit like plugging into the power. It is charge. It is not the same as information. Which you know you would get in the DNA the foods and the plant matter that you eat. have information in them for the body, for good health, for good health so your green foods are very good. But we need to feed our good gut bacteria. if we want to be healthy. Especially mentally healthy, so there is an association between leaky gut also in mental disorders. Toxins leak through the gut wall, into the blood and across the blood brain barrier as well. When the brain gets too toxic it has its own spasms and it can go into a fit epileptic fit is another example of toxicity reaching the brain. That is because the barriers are disintegrating. We dont have the blood brain barrier doing the job it needs to be doing. and we need magnesium charge to help build those barriers again so the function properly we need charge. Magnesium foods so coconuts are rich in magnesium. raw cacao, seaweed. Seaweed comes from the ocean, there is lots of magnesium in the ocean. But you need huge volumes, you often cant eat that much, to put back the magnesium you lost under a lot of stress. So definitely incorporate these in your diet. But they may not be enough by themselves. You can go swimming in the ocean. So in the ocean you will get in the water mostly chloride. It is the same in the blood. Chloride is the most abundant mineral electrolyte inside our cells and it is used for stomach digestion for stomach acid. So we need lots of chloride. Chloride is the salt version. So when you combine Magnesium and Chloride it is in the perfect form for the cells. So in salt water you get the sodium sulphate and there is magnesium very very prominent. Plus all the sea trace minerals we need also in the bones you need more than just magnesium and calcium. you need some zinc and phosphorus and silica, strontium. There is a whole package of minerals that go together to make stronger healthy bones. We always thought or we were told calcium, calcium, calcium. We actually get a lot of calcium in the food supply. If you eat green leafy vegetables if you eat dairy. lots of calcium. But if your magnesium is low you are not going to use the ca lcium very well. For instance low magnesium will cause calcium to leach out of the bones and settle in the soft tissue and joints, and make you harder and crunchier over time it is premature aging. When you have lots of magnesium the excess calcium moves back into the bones. Gives you strong bones and creates a more flexible tissue your ligaments, your joints, everything becomes more flexible. the blood flows more fluidly. The blood pressure normalizes as a result of having sufficient magnesium. It is a wonderful balancer of the whole nervous system and the vascular system. So in Elektra Magnesium Chloride. This is a food grade salt we get it from the Tibetan plateau. 3000m above sea level. It is a very clean salt. It is tested in an Australian laboratory. It has no mercury and no lead with a very high level of elemental magnesium. This is the highest in the range 16.6% usually the industrial grade magnesium chloride is around 12% so you dont get the contaminants with the food grade and you get a high level of magnesium So in other words more bang for your buck. You dont need as much to achieve a good effect. When you combine Magnesium Chloride, and you put a little bit in your filtered water now make sure you drink a clean water. They put fluoride in the water so you need to make sure if you drink tap water, that you have a reverse osmosis filter or a ion transfer there are different mechanisms that can remove the fluoride. But always ask the manufacturer and supplier. otherwise drink the supermarket bottle water which they dont put fluoride into yet Hopefully they dont. Or you can drink rainwater or distilled water. But dont drink distilled water or de-mineralised water unless you put the minerals in because without the minerals the water is about 6 pH. It is acidic. so even though it is clean of chemicals. We need to put the minerals back in, when you put the minerals back in it increases the pH to 7 or just a little bit over 7, which is ideal for the cells. You can lift it to actually 8 pH, if you add a little bit of extra bi -carb soda if you need an extra alkaline water. But 7-8pH is fine. If you get a nice water in that range it is very hydrating. What that alkaline water does is the cells detect the charge of the water and they suck up more water and they plump up and they eliminate waste better, the system flows, the garbage is being removed, the good nutrients are going in because we have plenty of hydration. There has been a lot of studies done by water scientists like Gerald Pollack and they say that we are 99% water. So you hear them saying 75%, 80% … that only measuring the rivers of blood or what is in the blood all the liquids body but they weren’t measuring all the moisture in the bones in the tissue cells, but if you count everything, we are 99% water like we are a bladder or swimming pool walking around on legs. little bit like a jelly fish. Not quite but getting there. so you want to make sure that you put good water in because if you put pollution in you are going to get your sewerage pipes clogged. That leads to acidity. That leads to inflammation and pain and bad health, downward from there. Without a clean electrolyte system in the cells you can’t conduct electricity your electron flow is going to be intermittent and blocked and low so your energy is low when you dont have enough magnesium and too much pollution. Optimal health, this is a short summary. Eat fresh organic free range wherever possible. No additives, No hormones, No pesticides, whatever else they use artificial. Look after you bowel, your guts are very very important to have fermented foods if you dont like to eat sauerkraut or your full cream yoghurt. I am not talking about the sugary flavored yoghurt they are bad. You have to have it naturally fermented. Don’t shy away from the fat yoghurt. the fat, the creamy part of that yoghurt is so good for you. Kids love it as well. you can add a few forest berries in there if you want to improve the flavour. Watch the water make sure you get clean water add minerals back in, avoid the chemicals, sugar is a poison. Carbohydrates like grain foods behave like sugar as well. Because the body finds it very difficult to digest and absorb grain foods that is why when people eat too much pasta, bread, if you can avoid those things you will be much more likely to keep your body trim, taught and terrific without putting that fat around the middle. Increase magnesium to help your metabolism lift your metabolism to move from sugar to fat burning. You need oxygen and magnesium, the good fats and lots of water consumption. So to digest proteins and fats you need a lot of water a lot of water for digestion, a lot of water for eliminating wastes and metabolism. When I say a lot water, the average recommended is about 3 liters in a 24 hour period for an average adult. But if you sweat alot, if you working outside, then you perspire. If you are on diuretics. Then you may need a lot more than 3 liters. if you are from a cold climate and you dont do much activity. 2 liters may be enough. So we say average 3 liters. But you can experiment. Good clean water. Oral versus transdermal. If you take oral tablets and powders you have to digest in the stomach pull it apart, reassemble it with chloride, get it through the gut wall. that is an obstacle. Researchers have found the average uptake through the gut wall is actually only about 20% at best 40% with the best quality of magnesium tablets and powders. most ends up in the toilet. Through the skin no digestion is involved so it is much easier to get large amounts of magnesium transdermally, through the skin. soaking, bathing, rubbing it on, spraying it on, absorbing it through the skin So all we are doing is conforming to the rules of nature. The skin is like the soil holding nutrients and minerals. The tree roots go into the soil pull the minerals up the tree never overdoses itself. It is the same with the skin. The nutrients get taken into the epidermal layer like a reservoir. It is a dinner plate, a smorgasbord. The little capillaries underneath the draw the magnesium in as is required over time and the body doesn’t overdose itself. So you can easily use as much as you like. and the body will adjust itself, regulate itself. This is how it works in the skin. You see that is a microscopic view of the outside layer of the skin. You see how it has got these little pockets. Well when the skin dry it doesn’t have enough oil and it is very dry and dehydrated, the little cells are flat like scales and the nerve endings are too close to the surface. You can get very sensitive skin that way. When you are collagen is working well and you have got lots of good oil and moisture in there, those pockets inflate and they get rid of the fine lines and wrinkles. They need the magnesium charge and the water and the good oil to do that. That is the perfect meal for the skin. It goes into the skin layer and it sits there.
