Shankh Prakshalana In Sanskrit Shankh means a conch and Prakshalana means washing.So Washing our intestine which resembles channels of a conch with warm water containing salt and lemon is called Shankh Prakshalana. Prepration: Perform Shankh prakshalana near a restroom.Take this advise seriously 🙂 Now heat up ~5 liters of drinking water to more than lukewarm. Now take 1 liter of this lukewarm++ water and add 1 fresh lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of common salt(NaCl aka sodium chloride aka table salt).Mix well. Now take 1 glass of this salty,lemon’ee water and drink it QUICKLY. Do not drink it sip by sip slowly else you will end up peeing the whole day 🙂 Now perform the 5 asanas shown by baba Ramdev 5 times.This will constitute 1 cycle. 5 asanas of shankh prakshalana follow Join both the hands above your head . The five asanas that we will do in 1 cycle of shankh prakshalan are (a)Ūrdhva Tāḍāsana (b)Tiryaka Tadasana (c)Kati Chakrasana (d)Tiryaka Bhujangasana (e)Udarakarshanasana Demonstration of Ūrdhva Tāḍāsana follows Place both legs close to each other and while breathing in raise your hands up with interlocked fingers and also rise on your toes.Your heels go up and you are looking straight in front. .Stay there for a few seconds and come down while breathing out Now Tiryaka Tadasana follows.It’s very good for your spine and abdomen. Space your legs about 1-2 feet apart,hands up with fingers interlocked and palms facing out and bend towards your right while breathing in as much as you can do comfortably.Gaze straight in front.Stay there for a few seconds and while exhaling come back to the center. Now repeat on the left side.Inhale while bending ,stay there as comfortable and come back while inhaling.Repeat this 2 times on both sides.Then bring both hands down to the sides. Now KatiChakrasana follows… KatiChakrasana -1 Stand up straight with your feet spaced ~1 feet apart.Stretch your hands to the front, palms facing each other, parallel to the ground.Palms should be at shoulder-width distance from each other.Inhale and gently twist from the waist to the right and look back over the right shoulder. Keep your feet glued in their place. Keep the distance between your palms constant.Exhale and come back to the center. Repeat this on the left side.Repeat Kati chakrasana-1 2-3 times. kati chakrasana-2
