There is a disconnect in game between the dialog scripts and quest progression, so I’ll walk through my quest scripts in the editor. Here is my custom quest There are 5 stages to complete this quest. Each step contains a custom log entry for the player journal and uses the editor’s custom scripting language to set the player’s current objective Quest objectives point the player to one of the target references I set under “Quest Aliases”, and is supposed to show the given text on screen when activated Quest Aliases are set as unique actors/props in game in order to trigger/complete quest objectives and hook up the correct dialog This particular alias, MamasRing, creates a reference to the unique custom object and spawns inside of Mikael’s inventory. Here is the dialog system I created. Both Mama and Rogi are voice acted, though the disconnect in the dialog scripts and the quest script limit their progression in game. Which is a shame, since I spent a long time recording all of the voice overs ); The player can trigger multiple dialog options based on their choices. Each line of dialog of individually recorded and set a corresponding emotion to the actor Mama’s voice and initial custom dialog work in game, however, the scripts to allow progression throw compiling errors This means that the rest of the dialog required to allow quest progression isn’t available. *Note that Rogi has no custom dialog, even though it’s hooked up in the editor and scripted* *My microphone is kinda quiet, if you wanna hear my attempt at voice acting, please turn up the volume (: * The custom house I created caused the actors to be aggressive (???), so I moved them into Breezehome to show Mama’s starting dialog. Anyways, here is the custom house I made. The previous videos walk through everything in here in more detail. Other videos show the cave in more detail as well. Upon finding Mikael, the quest to find him should be completed and looting him will reveal Mama’s ring. The player then returns the ring to Mama and informs her of Mikael’s fate.
