(reflective music) – Maintaining an ideal body weight is absolutely essential
for psoriatic arthritis both for controlling disease activity, needing less treatment
for psoriatic arthritis, for mitigating the increased
cardiovascular risk, the risk of fatty liver disease. Just very important. (reflective music) Eating a healthy diet is
very important in general. And that is beneficial in
psoriatic arthritis as well. People with psoriatic
arthritis tend to have fatigue and there are
now studies that show that staying active
improves the fatigue level. I think it also improves
an individual’s confidence and control over their disease and over their life in general. So I always recommend
staying physically active. And being on top of the
symptoms as much as possible. And then one other recommendation is to mobilize the resources out there. Family, friends, work, so that this all becomes manageable and leads to a productive
and enjoyable life overall. (reflective music)
