Welcome to the vitalife show I’m Doctor Janine Bowring and today we’re talking about insomnia and this is something that is so troublesome for so many of you and I want to give you some of my favorite tip to hopefully help you have a restful night sleep. One of these things you can do is buy some lavender essential oil and put a few drops on your pillow, you can put it on your pulse points and that’s very relaxing to the nervous system but when you’re inhaling that through the night. Another thing is do hot epsom salt bath shortly before bed hot apsom salt contain magnesium and magnesium is a relaxant to the nervous system into your muscles as well make sure the bass is nice and hot and that you are soaking for at least 25 minutes in that hot bath and that should help you get that good night’s sleep. Another thing is to get all those spots of that crazy mind of yours is to journal so write down your thoughts for the day before you actually go to sleep so that you’re getting it out of your system so that you don’t have to be thinking about these thoughts maybe they’re good thoughts maybe they’re not so good thought you know throughout the night and that’s very helpful and I’ve used that you know for a lot of my patients over the years. Another thing is to set your phone to make sure that you’re going to the bed at the same time every day this is important for setting up your biorhythms you so your body clock you really have to make sure that you’re getting to bed at the same time everyday. Another trick is to use binaural beats so I’ll put some links in our description to binaural beats something that you need your headphones for through your just your headphones from your phone or if you have you know some other big headphones fancy kind that all the kids are wearing then you can listen to be special beats and they had to do something to your brain frequency to help you relax your nervous system which is a really cool that’s the whole other thing, and some yoga postures so if you’re familiar with yoga you can look this up as well a standing forward bend is fantastic for helping to induce sleep child’s pose is very relaxing as well and there’s another pose called legs up the wall basically line your back and create the legs up the wall all allows all the blood to come down into you know your torso into your head which is very helpful for a restful night sleep. So hope that this has helped you we also have products here at vitatree to do check out our website by the tree com there’s a link here to show you that make sure you subscribe to our channel as well one of our formula called stress sleep formula so sometimes you need a little bit extra help and that’s great for you as well.
