are the last thing they would pay attention to. That is, until the heels starts developing cracks. And if left untreated, cracked heels can cause pain and may even bleed. Heels crack because of Dry skin, Atopic dermatitis, Corns and calluses, Standing on hard floors for a long time, Wearing open-back footwear that does not provide support around the heels
and Cold weather. If you notice cracked heels, do not rush to a dermatologist
or a beautician. Try these simple home remedies first. Soak your feet in soapy water and scrub it with a pumice stone for about 15 minutes. Dry them thoroughly. An then apply olive oil, sesame oil or coconut oil,
or any other vegetable oil liberally on your heels. Wear socks and leave them on overnight. For a few days repeat this remedy to make your heels soft and smooth. Gentle exfoliation can be of great help. So, prepare a foot scrub. And For this: Take a handful of rice flour. Now add a few teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and honey to it. Mix the ingredients to get a paste out of it. Now add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to it. Gently Scrub and massage your feet with this mixture
for about 5 minutes. And then finally, wash your feet and apply oil or moisturiser. Now if your cracked heels become itchy and infected, then take a handful of neem leaves. And grind them along with 3 teaspoons of turmeric. You will get a paste like this. Apply this paste on the affected areas. And if the results are not satisfactory, then seek medical advice. Tips to help you heal your cracked heels. On a weekly basis, soak your feet in warm water
mixed with lemon juice for about 10-15 minutes. You could also mix the lemon juice with about
1 teaspoon of a petroleum jelly and apply that on your cracked heels. And now once your heels heal, move on by putting your best foot forward.
