Eczema Is a Burden to Jalilah

My name is Jalilah and I live with eczema. Eczema on the inside feels like tingly, itchy, uncomfortable. It’s been extremely
frustrating at times dealing with eczema because sometimes it can feel
like a burden. The hardest part of having eczema is that when I use my
prescriptions and I get one patch to go away, it pops up somewhere else on my
body. It’s like that game Whack-A-Mole where one goes down and then another one
pops up somewhere else. This is what my eczema looks like. I think the worst flare-up
I had was the one that I had on my face, neck, ears, scalp, because it was burning,
it was, it was this burning sensation. It just felt absolutely horrible and it
was so frustrating and it was also leaving like black marks on my face so
it was also embarrassing. People would forget their manners and ask questions
such as, “What’s wrong with your face?” or “What’s wrong with your arms?” or “What is that?” I would like wish that I didn’t have
eczema or I’d wish that I didn’t have a flare or I’d wish that I didn’t have to
deal with it or I’d just be angry.
