DOUBLE INGROWN TOENAIL REMOVAL FOREVER-Toe Nail Surgery by The Toe Bro

(Cuban music) (Toe Bro theme music) TB: Mark it in your calendar guys! Time to have a toe-to-toe talk. Live chats, YouTube February 7th 10 p.m. Eastern Time. Please join me! Looking forward to seeing and talking to all of you guys . Enjoy the video, toes! TB: So during the procedure you shouldn’t feel anything sharp. Patient: Yeah. TB: If you feel anything sharp, you let me know. TB: So like always putting on the tourniquet. P: Yeah. TB: Make this nice and firm. You okay? P: Yeah. TB: Look at you helping me with your toe, huh! (patient laughs) TB: So I think, yeah, we’ll be seeing each other in the new place with the follow-ups. It’ll be nice. P: Yeah. TB: You’ll get to see it. P: Yeah I would like to see, yeah. I’ve been handing out your cards so. TB: You have been? P: Yeah. TB: Oh, that’s so nice of you and you still wearing the orthotic, right? P: Oh yeah. I’m going to get another pair so I have one for each shoe. TB: It feels good, huh? P: Ohhh… TB: Okay So we’re gonna do both sides okay? P: Yeah TB: That way no chance of an ingrown happening P: Yes. TB: So we’re gonna do a little check. P: Yep. TB: Just gonna cover so you don’t see anything. Anything sharp over here? P: No. TB: How about here any pain? P: No. TB: This side anything sharp? P: No. TB: Here? P: No. TB: Okay, you’re good. TB: Did you ever follow up with that surgeon that you had an appointment to see? P: No. TB: He just canceled? P: Yeah. P: That was more for like why the antibiotics weren’t working. They were worried about the infection, like it was, around. TB: yeah P: Not so much for the toe. TB: Really? P: No. TB: So they might not even have done… P: They would have done the… TB: Oh, they would have done the toe at the same time. No, like I told you there’s a reason why it wasn’t healing. P: Okay. TB: But that was a weird one. P: Wasn’t it! TB: It was weird, but luckily we got rid of it. P: Yeah. TB: You okay? P: Yeah. TB: One side done. TB: There we go. Are you watching? P: No. TB: (laughs) You should be a pro by now! P: No I don’t… TB: You had lots of dead skin in here, with the nail. P: Is it? TB: Yeah. TB: See how it looks? Pretty good piece. One more side. TB: That’s a big one. Big piece . P: Is it? TB: Yeah. Your wife want to take them home? (toenail pieces) TB: She can if she wants! Put them under your bed, Brian. (laughter) P: Yeah, get some money. (from the Toe Fairy) TB: So just making sure; this is the important part. P: Yeah, nothing’s left behind. TB: No, we don’t want uh anything to irritate it. TB: So really checking with the, my little black file, making sure there’s nothing inside. TB: See what, Something’s flapping against here. TB: You okay? P: Oh, yeah. This one I don’t know why it is so much better. Not that the other one didn’t go bad anyway so… TB: But last one you the last toe we did you felt pressure, right? P: Yeah. TB: And this one is no pressure at all? P: Yeah. TB: Well, I said the toe is so different the other one… P: Yeah. TB: With the amount of bend. TB: So this was a lot easier to freeze. P: Okay the freezing didn’t even hurt that much. TB: (laughs) I Told you you’re becoming a pro! P: Yeah. TB: Just wait until we do the third one! P: Oh geez. (Toe Bro laughs) TB: No, luckily you only have two big toes so… P: Yeah. P: I thought they were gonna…at work I told them, “Trust me; I only have two big toes.” (laughter) TB: Okay, so everything’s clear. P: Yeah. P: You put the acid on and then you rinse it and… TB: Look at that! You can do it yourself now! P: Yeah. (laughs) TB: You know, so I’m just drying the area, taking one last look. TB: Okay. TB: How much time did you take off this time. (from work) P: I only took a week. TB: Okay. should be more than enough. P: Yeah, that’s what I thought. Because it was not infected now like it’s …that’s what I am thinking. TB: Yes. P: Because it’s… TB: Because thinking when this is infected, then the body has to deal with that plus the wound. P: Uh hum. TB: When it’s just like this, it’s just… P: Yeah and I am already taking antibiotics and everything. TB: This was nice and easy today, huh? P: Uh hum. TB: Where were you getting that, your nails cut before ? You were just…uh? (laughs) TB: So you did pretty well; you lasted pretty long… P: Yeah. TB: Doing it yourself. (laughs) P: It hurt like hell. TB: What would you use? P: Nail clippers and then TB: Like the normal ones that you use? P: Yeah and then cut the side and pull it down. TB: Actually the pulling is pretty good when you, when you pull the rest. P: All right. TB: Because it doesn’t leave a sharp point versus if you cut, hack, and you leave a little spike. P: Yeah I know and it would always bring dead skin, like it would… TB: And that’s what it’s all connected on your nails a lot of dead skin. P: Is it? TB: What happens is the nail was growing so tight to the to the skin that it built up callus. P: Okay. TB: And that callus was so it actually can cause a lot of people pain as well. P: Oh, okay. TB: Because again, P: Oh yeah! TB: It’s pressure P: It’s pressure, yeah. TB: Yeah, it’s filling up the space so… That nail callus can be pretty uncomfortable and it’s hard to remove cuz it’s almost like you said attached to the skin, yeah P: The skin, yeah. P: I mean it would give me short relief, when I did it and it would come out like a ball like; you could throw it. (TB laughs) P: And I thought, “Ah, that feels good!” and then for another week or two and then… TB: So when I just trimmed it last time to give you some relief, you’re just starting to feel it now? P: Now. It’s just starting to come back not like how it was before you did it… TB: Yeah. P: But I know I was going back to that area again so… TB: It was pretty good, huh? P: Oh yeah, I would get relief, yeah. And I can see why people would think, “Ah so I will just keep doing that.” TB: Yeah, I know the needles the scariest part but P: Yeah it’s just… TB: You didn’t feel too much, huh? I use a pretty thin needle. P: I find you should tell them just push down while you give the needle. TB: Push down right away, uh? Okay. Yeah I usually say, “On three” push down or if they feel pain some people don’t but you’re right just push down and it makes it a lot better. P: Cause then you are already pushing down so it doesn’t make any sense to be told you are pushing down. (TB laughs) TB: Okay all done, so let’s put some cream on here and all finished. TB: So the dressing that I put on, thanks Brian, you and your monkey toes. (Brian laughs) P: Yeah. TB: You’re good. So you leave this on for 24 hours. P: Yeah. TB: Take it off tomorrow morning, then you’re just gonna redress it with the cream. You can use the gauze in the wrap that I give you okay? P: Okay. TB: And we do that for the first week. Then we come back to each other again, and make sure there’s no signs of infection. Everything’s looking good, and then we’ll switch to the iodine, P: Yep, TB: For the second week, okay? P: Okay. TB: So I’m gonna wrap this up. P: So it’s the white cream I use, right? TB: The white cream. P: Yeah,I’ve got a whole bunch of that I can use. TB: Okay. So I’m putting it on a little snug just to… P: Oh sure. TB: Reduce some bleeding or swelling. If you feel it’s too snug, you can just loosen it a little bit, okay? P: Okay. TB: You got your own nurse to take care of you? P: Yeah. TB: (laughs) Lucky you! P: Yeah. TB: Okay all done, just like that. P: Excellent.
