want to get straight to the point to, if your being bullied for having dandruff, don’t let
that get to you, why? because chances are 50% of people will experience dandruff in
there life and most importantly your amazing, and bullies at the end of the day hate themselves
and you should just feel sorry for them. So remain positive because, Its not contagious,
its not because your hair is too dry, and its definitely not because of poor hygiene. Ill show 4 ways and some natural remedies
to get rid of dandruff effectively, so before we begin. Let’s take a look at why dandruff even forms
in the first place. There is 3 major reasons I wont bore you to
death with the science but it is still beneficial for you to know why it happens. The first reason is because Skin cell layers
continually replace themselves right? What that means is. Cells are pushed outward in the scalp, where
they die and flake off on your scalp, skin, and clothes. In some cases, this process happens rapidly
so they get pushed to the top of the scalp faster from underneath in 2-7 days as opposed
to a month in normal cases for people without dandruff. Secondly, in 2017, it was discovered another
culprit, a scalp fungi known as maleassezia globosa. Not really a fun guy at all. Or should i say guys, because theres at least
10 million of them in your hair and only trouble half of us. This fungus eats the triglycerides in your
normal hair oils called sebum, using an enzyme called lipase to digest it, to leave behind
the byproduct oleic acid in your hair. Oleic acid for some people causes an inflammatory
response disturbing the natural environment in the scalp, breaking off skin cells to cause
flakes. The third reason, a more severe form in which
you should seek medical help for is called seborheic dermatitis, in which the scalp can
become inflamed, itchy, and red causing flakes. So Now Lets look at how to beat dandruff. I’ve listed some great products that get
the job done in the description. So check those out! The first: Avoid using oils on your hair. This is because the fungus likes to feed off
oils. So the last thing you want to provide mr. Fun Guy is a nice breakfast in your morning
shower. Secondly: Using a shampoo containing ketoconazole
1% twice a week. This kills the fungus that is causing the
dandruff, by binding to your hair and killing it wherever it sees it. Rub it into your scalp and leave it in for
about 5 minutes to get the most out of it. And it works between shampoos too, keeping
your dandruff in check. Third: Using Coal Tar Shampoos, Some people
have found this to work as it slows down the growth of excess skin cell production. But im not really a big fan because it can
lead to skin irritation, sun sensitivity, and discoloration. So use a shampoo with salicylic acid as it
reduces flakes. The fourth: Alternating your shampoo to a
shampoo that targets the fungi even more. Look for shampoos with ingredients that include
zinc or selenium. Someone might also ask, is there any natural
remedies. Now there are not a lot of studies that are
conclusive enough to prove these work, but it doesn’t hurt to try if you want to go that
route first. Using honey into your hair, apple cider vinegar,
coconut oil and tea tree oil, but be cautious of introducing oils when doing so. Some people also use a blend of garlic and
onion and rub it into their scalp. But im sure some of you might choose having
dandruff in your hair than smelling like a stinking rose. Again, not much evidence but might not hurt to try. So to summarize. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist about
using these shampoos for your dandruff. Then try out these shampoos for about a month
to see if you find any progress with any of them. If you see no improvements then, visit back
with your doctor so that they can exclude any underlying skin conditions. I hope that this video has helped give you
guys insight on how to beat dandruff. If you guys liked the video, please do give
