Questions so make sure you’re subscribed because you don’t want to miss out on those. Today
I’m going to talk about skin care because when we asked you, skin care just kept on
coming up as a top priority for everyone. A lot of you said that your biggest beauty
challenges were wrinkles, fine lines, blemishes and dry skin so today I’m going to try and
help you out and show you 5 products that you can use for a really simple daily skin
care routine. Or maybe there just might be a few items that you you want to incorporate
into your current routine to give it a little bit of a detox and what better time to start
than January? Let’s start the year with a really good skin care routine. So the first
step is cleansing, you’ve really got to cleanse your skin in the morning and in the evening
just to keep it looking really fresh and feeling very clean so to me, my favourite one is the
Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel, it says that it’s a gel but it actually comes out and when
you massage it into the skin it feels more like an oil, so it’s very easy to just massage
in to the skin and then I just work it off with a damp flannel and it leaves my skin
looking really clear, really fresh and because you’ve had that step with the flannel it’s
quite exfoliated as well. Then it’s not something that I like to use every day but about once
a week I do try to incorporate a mask after cleansing and I find that just really helps
to clear things out, prep your skin for the next step and then depending on what formula
you use, they can hydrate, exfoliate, or wave goodbye to blemishes. Now it’s been a long
party season and my skin is definitely looking a bit worse for wear, in the spot department
I have a few going on round here at the moment, so I’ve been using the Super Facialist by
Una Brennan Salicylic Acid Anti-Blemish Pure Purifying Clay Mask, now this feels very tingly
on the skin, it really feels like it’s getting to work. I just apply it with an old foundation
brush just to make sure I’ve got an even layer all over the face. After about 5 minutes I
just work it off, again with the damp flannel and my skin just feels so soft after using
this and obviously depending on what your skin care concern is, you can move in different
textures and formulas here but for me this is the one. Now it’s time to amp up the hydration
and for that I’ve been using the Olay Regenerist Luminous Skin Tone Perfecting Serum and I
just take a pipette full of this into my palms, massage it gently into the skin and it feels
so glorious, it feels very silky, although it’s very concentrated, it’s just very light
on the skin and it just leaves things looking really luminous, really restored and very
glowy indeed. It’s actually got a tone-fighting active in it as well which helps to manage
the production of excess melanin which leads to dark spots, so if dark spots are a problem
for you then this is definitely one to grab. Then for moisturiser I love the Olay Regenerist
Luminous Brightening & Protecting Cream Moisturiser. This is quite rich but it just leaves your
skin looking really radiant afterwards. My skin always looks and feels really hydrated
after using this and just really kind of juicy and healthy looking, it works to fade the
look of dark spots and also correct uneven skin tone over time and it just develops such
a sheen to the skin I don’t know how it does it without any shimmer in at all, when I put
this on it’s just instant glow. Now this is a little extra step that you can add onto
the end but why not use a CC cream as the final step in your skin care routine because
most of them contain an SPF which is great, that’s your SPF sorted and also a lot of them
have a tint to it which means that you can either go a little less heavy with the foundation
or also just skip it completely and move straight onto concealer if you need it. So I propose
the Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Pore Minimizer CC Cream and I use the shade light medium
in this, this actually has a surprising amount of coverage to it, it definitely works to
even out the skin tone, makes things look very polished and also helps to minimise pores
as well which is one of my problem areas, so I’m feeling that. I love the smell of it
as well and I find that it just works best blended all into the skin with fingers and
this is the finished look, you can just see that my skin has a nice amount of luminosity
to it, looks nice and hydrated and also has a bit of coverage going on as well. So those
are my top tips for a little January skin care overhaul. Let me know what you think
